GOD'S PURPOSE:
God is the master of our universe and creator of all things as read in the Holy Bible, Genesis chapters 1 and 2. God created man....in His image (Genesis 1:27) and He made us to have a relationship with Him. God wants us to have a life of LOVE, HOPE and PEACE abundantly and eternally.
Romans 5:1 says: "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,"
John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 10:10 says: "...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
OUR PROBLEM:
God created us in His image and to have an everlasting relationship with him. When we turn our back on Him and go our own way, we separate ourselves from Him and His purpose for us....this is sin.
Isaiah 59:2 says: "But your iniquities (sin) have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear."
Romans 3:23 says: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Romans 6:23 says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
JESUS, THE BRIDGE:
God loved us so much that we sent His son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for man's sin. Jesus bridged the gap between God and people.
John 14:6 says: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Romans 5:8 says: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us"
OUR CHOICE:
Jesus provided the way for us to have an eternal relationship with God. It's our choice to come to Jesus and trust Him as our Lord and Savior and invite Him into our lives.
Revelation 3:20 says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
Romans 10:9 says: "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
John 1:12 says: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:"
MAKING THAT CHOICE:
Here's how you can know Jesus today.
- Admit your need for him.
- Be willing to turn from your sins.
- Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
- Invite Jesus to come in and guide your life through the Holy Spirit.
HOW TO PRAY:
Pray a sincere prayer similar to this one...
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins and I invite You to come into my heart and life today. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
